I was SO excited to take maternity photos for my beautiful friend Michelle, and her adorable family. We went to high school together but didn’t become friends until after I found out I was going to be a mommy. Michelle is absolutely thrilled to be adding a baby girl–Olivia–to their family! Her son Carter is such a little stud and I’m sure her baby girl is going be gorgeous! Here are some favorites from our fun session!

I felt so lucky to be photographing Jessica–she’s sweet, absolutely stunning, and a natural in front of the camera! She’s graduating from high school next month and going to school to become a nurse (I know, she could definitely be a model, too!) We had a lot of fun shooting on this gorgeous day–I captured so many amazing shots of Jessica it was hard to narrow down! Here are my favorites…
This one just deserved to be on its own… Wow.

Melissa and Scott will be adding a baby boy to their family in just a couple of months–which will make Melissa outnumbered by boys 3 to 1! They brought their adorable dog Wrigley along to our shoot, and I was pleasantly surprised at how great he was! He was calm when he had to sit and wait for us take pictures, and excited when he was in them. I really felt the love between this sweet couple and the excitement they share about become parents. I just loved this session–everything was right! And the light… well, it was delicious. As you can see I took full advantage of it! Here are some of my favorites from our session:

This handsome little guy is Jacob–the “surprise” that was awaiting my friends Steph and Jeremy just weeks ago! I was so excited to meet Jacob the night he was born (I just knew he was a boy!), and even more excited to have the pleasure of photographing him so brand new. It’s amazing how different each newborn shoot is–some babies sleep with no problem, some fight it like crazy! Jacob was awake and alert–and hungry!–for over an hour. He definitely wore out 3 adults trying to get him to sleep! :) Eventually, he gave in and I was able to pose him a little. I just love these photos…

I was really excited to take River’s 6 months photos! I had recently been wondering what he looked like now after taking photos of him in the belly and his newborn photos, when his mommy emailed me about wanting some 6 month pics! I forgot how easy it is to snap photos of little ones who can’t crawl or run away from you :) And when they’re smiley and wide-eyed like River, it makes the session all the more fun! Here are some of my favorites from our shoot… hard to narrow them down!

So happy I was able to capture this little guy at such a fun age! Hopefully it won’t be long until I see him again!
